Dr.M.U.Paily is a teacher educator, currently working as a reader at G.V.M’s College of Education (http://www.gvmcollege.com), Ponda. He has his graduation in science and post graduation in education from the Regional Institute of Education, Mysore. Has MSc. in Psychology with specialization in industrial psychology and organizational behavior. He was awarded PhD in Education by Goa University in the area of Critical Thinking.  He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Higher Education from IGNOU and was awarded a research fellowship by the University Grant Commission in 1991.

He has served many institutions/organizations as visiting faculty, academic counselor, master trainer, resource person, and as an educational consultant. He was a guest faculty for four years at Goa Institute of Management Studies for the subject industrial psychology and organizational behavior. He is a UGC visiting fellow of Bharathidasan University. Master Trainer for the Intel Corporations’ Teach to the Future Programme and the Training of Trainers Programme of the SLSC, Govt.of Goa. He is also in to distance education by being an academic counselor of IGNOU. Has held various administrative/academic Positions in the Committees of the College, University, State and national level organizations like NCERT and NCTE. Currently he is a member of the Board of Studies in Education of Goa University and Bharathidasan University. Dr.paily believes in sharing his knowledge in education, ICT, and Organizational Behavior and has conducted about 200 state and national level training and development programmes through Academic staff colleges, Navodaya Leadership Institute, Rotary clubs, Goa Management Association, Teacher Training Institutions, School Complex Committees and other educational institutions besides having been published in reputed journals. Attended various national and international seminars and conferences and was guest speaker for some. His areas of interest include training and development, Action research, and information and communication technology.

An expert in educational technology, Dr.M.U.Paily has been deeply involved in promoting ICT integration in Education not only at G.V.M’s College of Education but at many other institutions with which he has been associated. He is a national winner of the Intel awards for the best integration of technology in teacher education. Competent in using many software tools, he is currently using the MOODLE learner management system to provide web based e-learning to his students.
